Mission – The mission of the Crawford County Council on Aging, Inc. is to be a focal point for the provision of advocacy, and in-home and community-based services which will enhance the quality of life for the older adult population of Crawford County by facilitating their efforts to maintain maximum independence as they exercise their right to remain living with dignity in the community.
Vision – It is the vision of the Crawford County Council on Aging that all persons age sixty and older will have a wide range of well coordinated affordable services and resources, both formal and informal, available to meet their needs. We will advocate to develop public awareness regarding elder issues, by facilitating the cooperation and collaboration between existing organizations, which function to serve the older adult population in Crawford County. Services will be delivered timely, efficiently, with recognition of the important role played by informal caregivers, and with the utmost respect for client confidentiality. In all endeavors to assist individuals, the client’s right to participate in the planning, to freely choose among alternatives, and to even reject assistance will be recognized and respected.
