Home Delivered Meals

Our Home Delivered Meal (otherwise known as Meals on Wheels) program provides nutritious meals delivered Monday-Friday to homebound older adults who are 60 years and older. Home Delivered Meals provide daily nutritional needs to consumers by helping to avoid unnecessary hospitalizations, reducing hospital readmissions and post-discharge needs through daily nutrition, socialization and safety checks.
Hot meals are delivered to a consumer living within ½ mile of the city limits of Bucyrus, Crestline, or Galion. A choice of an entree and the sides that accompany it are offered Monday-Friday. Eligible consumers living outside the 1/2 mile radius of  the above mentioned cities receive frozen meals delivered weekly to their home.
Meals offered:
  • Hot (Monday-Friday)
  • Cold (occasionally depending on the entrée)
  • Frozen (more than ½ mile outside the city limits of Bucyrus, Crestline or Galion)
  • Shelf Stable (when we are unable to deliver during inclement weather)
Meals are delivered between 11am and 1pm by a volunteer or agency employee. Meals are catered by our very own Nutrition staff. Home Delivered Meals can be requested by a consumer, a family member, friend, doctor, hospital, etc. Eligibility, including home-bound status, can be determined at the time a request is made.
Requested donation for a meal is $4.00
Donations for meals are requested, however, no one will be refused services due to the inability to donate. All donations are voluntary and confidential. All donations are used to expand goods and services for seniors residing in Crawford county.
All services are provided contingent on funding availability.
